Our Companion Carers will engage in conversations with your loved one listening to them share memories, discuss current events, also engage in a range of activities such as puzzles, games, reading, and provide respite care for family caregivers during the day, overnight or 24-hours

Out in the Community

The Companion Carer can escort your loved one to appointments, grocery shopping trips, social outings to theatre shows, the cinema, to see family or friends, or a simple walk in the local park.

Meal Preparation

Preparing nutritious and balanced meals.

Meal Planning – The Companion Carer can help to plan balanced and nutritious meals based on your loved one’s dietary needs, preferences, and any medical conditions such as diabetes or heart disease.
Cooking – Meals can be prepared in line with the Meal Plan, ensuring the food is healthy and meets specific dietary restrictions if necessary.

Light Housekeeping

Assisting with light cleaning, laundry, and tidying up around the house.

The Companion Carer can provide assistance with the following:

Cleaning Tasks: Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and tidying up common areas.

Laundry: Washing, folding, and putting away clothes or linens.

Dishwashing and Kitchen Care: Washing up, wiping counters, and ensuring that the kitchen is tidy.

Organisation: Helping to keep things in order, such as arranging personal belongings or helping organise wardrobes and chest of drawers.

Medication Reminders

Gentle reminders to ensure medications are taken as prescribed.

The Companion Carer will help to maintain your loved one’s well-being and stay on track by taking their medications as prescribed. The reminders can include verbal prompts, written reminders or setting up alarms or notifications on devices.

Hospital In-patient Companionship

In addition to companionship services at home, we also provide one-to-one companionship and assistance during hospital stays. Whether hospitalisation is required due to an accident, sudden illness or scheduled medical procedure, a hospital stay can be stressful, frightening or an overwhelming experience. Our Companion Carers can help reduce stress and the loneliness experienced during a hospital stay by providing one-to-one companionship and emotional support at the bedside.

And when you are ready to return home, we can help make the transition from hospital to home safe and comfortable with our home care services.

Companionship Care Plan

A Companionship Care Plan is a customised care plan that will outline your loved one’s social interests and preferences, and how their Companion Carer can help them to maintain those activities and tasks. We ensure to create person-centred care plans based on your loved one’s specific needs and preferences.

The plan can include:

Social engagement: Helping your loved one maintain social connections with family, friends, and the community 

Companionship: Providing kind companionship and interesting conversation 

Activities: Helping to maintain their hobbies and interests, both at home and out in the community 

Practical support: Helping with everyday activities such as meal preparation, laundry, and light housekeeping 

Accompaniment: Helping your loved one to go out and about, such as to the supermarket, attend medical appointments, visit the library, gym class or to sit in a café and have a nice chat.

Day trips: Organising day trips for the individual or accompanying them to day centres

Holiday Arrangements: Arranging everything for a holiday including accompanying your loved one to the destination
